If you think Roy Orbison, or maybe Benny Goodman, were the last great sounds, try these guys out on a quiet night. A couple of great singers and a lifetime of real-time, band leadership moves this threesome very close to the "big sound", so hard to find, but we like to hear on those great songs few bands do. Maybe if you have heard Floyd Brown on a good night, you will know what I mean. Every time that I hear them I think of the old great locals, Mike Merriam and maybe Baby Dave Gardner.
