Welcome to Baton Rouge's
Best.com
In doing some recording and publishing of a couple
of albums of my own and having experienced first
hand difficulty in trying to get a song to "sound
right" I've learned how hard it must be to
do a 3-4 hour session and have every song sound
good or at least pretty good and have your audience
continue to make requests until 2:00am in the morning.

And we have all heard some artists on some
occasions sound absolutely inspired. And we
have all heard some artists and some groups
do great solo performances and an occasional
great rendition but otherwise don't seem to
"hold the groove".
Anyway in my totally non-professional, non-solicited,
non-sober experience I've found a few musicians
who, I believe, on any given night, can stay
"in the groove", and consistently
deliver truly professional, recordable, balanced
work night after night. |

This is not to say some songs won't be better than
others; we all know some songs "better"
than the cover band and can find flaws in their
version, but that's to be expected.
In doing this website, I just thought it might
give me the opportunity to "pay back"
some of these guys and gals who have demonstrated
that level of professionalism we hear sometimes
on the radio, a hit album or CD we all consider
star quality
As a friend of mine said one night, while we were
listening to a local man lay down a tremendous vocal
track, on a song done just fairly by a Nashville
star, "you know its sometimes a very thin line
between a platinum performance in Nashville and
a great sound across the street.
I've since thought about this many times, and have
now come to believe, there's no line at all, just
twists of fate, bizarre sacrifices, a little geography
and a few miles of wire.
I hope to add a number of artists to this site
as I collect graphics, and receive input from people
more knowledgeable in their areas of interest. Please
submit any ideas and suggestions to: dweber9414@peoplepc.com
And Lets Have Fun!
Yours truly,
